Kolasnittar – Syrup Cookies

Syrup cookies are a classic Swedish cookie that reminds me of baking as a child. They’re super easy to make and comes out super chewy. A general thing for cookies are keeping them in the fridge. They stay fresh longer and personally I believe them to be tastier than normal cookies.

Chewy biscuits are the best. They look great, i like the technique of cutting them after they are cooked, very stylish! I’m not sure what baking syrup is though. Is it made from corn or rice do you know? Or more like maple syrup? In Australia we use Golden syrup sometimes, maybe I can try that… 🙂

Thank you! Easy and quick – perfect. It’s made from a sugar syrup that we use for cooking in Sweden, but I guess both maple and corn syrup would work – I’ll have to give it a try 🙂
